His death is a great loss to the button box accordion community and to his many friends around the country.
"Our Dad, Ed Gersich, returned from California after that very first Fontana Button Box weekend, totally thrilled with the music, the comeraderie and the welcoming from Frank Vidergar and all of the club members.
Because Dad was so enthusiastic, we went the second year, and for many years afterwards. Frank's vision inspired us all, and from those weekends, we returned home with the same fire and passion for the button box, and for the music. He was a true gentleman of the music, an incredible Pied Piper... and we will continue to follow his example. That's the measure of this man, Frank Vidergar."
